Ingredients for loaded hummus platter including hummus, cucumber, tomatoes, olives and feta cheese

Ingredient Notes

  • Hummus: Use my easy homemade hummus recipe for a silky smooth hummus, or use store-bought hummus to keep it easy. My personal favorite hummus brand is Humm!. I like a the classic hummus or roasted garlic flavors with these toppings.
  • Toppings: For my Mediterranean style loaded hummus, I used kalamata olives, crumbled feta cheese, red onion, cherry tomatoes, english cucumber, fresh lemon and spices.

Hummus Topping Ideas

There are tons of options for delicious hummus toppings. Here are a few ideas that would taste great with a traditional hummus, roasted garlic hummus or red pepper hummus.

  • Olives: Kalamata olives, green olives, black olives, or any other marinated flavored olive.
  • Cheese: Crumbled feta, shaved parmesan, herb flavored goat cheese or diced mozzarella
  • Seasoned roasted chickpeas
  • Roasted red peppers
  • Marinated artichoke hearts
  • Fresh herbs like dill, rosemary or parsley
  • Cured meats like pepperoni or prosciutto
  • Toasted pine nuts
  • Fresh veggies like diced bell pepper or fresh tomatoes

Instructions

Step One: Spread hummus in an even layer on your platter.

Step Two: Dice toppings into bite-sized pieces. I did a small dice on my cucumbers, halved the cherry tomatoes, and halved some of the olives, while leaving others whole. I sliced the red onions into thin slices. Arrange your toppings in layers over your hummus.
